And to the guy who said Jamal is doped, I whole heartedly agree. Come on, jogging across the line in 3:56, no stress on the face already smiling. It looks like she finished a warm up stride.
dude, Jamal is doped just like Ramzi.
This is truly amazing!!!! It just shows, when one person sets the barrier (which you could say was Rowbury last year in 4:00.3), it makes others push themselves to compete. WOW!
They're agents/coaches should at least teach them to act tired. A good BB coach teaches his players to sell a foul that didn't even occur.
Great for Wurth-Thomas though, she looks so strong and consistent right now.
No offence but who is Wurth-Thomas and why is she all of a sudden world class?
What would you guys be saying about her if her nationality was different?
Just saying. It's all double standards. I don't do double standards.
What the heck are you talking about and where have you been? She ran 4:04 last year at Pre. She was an Olympian as well, and this year was second at the Trials to Rowbury (after taking a gutsy lead).
This is just my point, she has always been overshadowed by other runners even though she is quietly running fast times.
What a great run, go Wurth!

Oh yes, and ran 4:01 this year at Pre among the Barringer/Willard/Rowbury group (she beat Rowbury actually).
None taken. She's the one who was spent out of the top two. Steady progress.

Some people might consider that she's world class on account of the fact that as of tonight she is the fourth fastest female over 1500m this year.
Ok. She was a consistent 4.05-4.10 runner for 5 or 6 years and then she comes out and runs 3.59 aged 29.
Just huge double standards. If she were European, a lot of people would have a lot to say about it.
The only reason I get in so much trouble is I 'make suggestions' about athletes from countries you're not allowed to 'make suggestions' about.
Jamal is fair game. I don't see anyone jumping in to defend and attack her detractors. Any Europeans are also fair game. Americans and Africans are seemingly untouchable.
Did you not see what someone else wrote above there? She ran 4:04 at Pre last year... then 4:02-3 early this year, then 4:01 at Pre this year and then sub 4. Looks like good progression.
Who would have thought last year that 2 other American's would have broken 4 before Rowbury? After she spanked CWT that last lap at USA's, gotta say her sub-4 is on its way too.
Great run by Wurth-Thomas! Another gutsy performance. Congrats on a well-deserved sub-4:00!

can someone tidy up the "4" ?
list 1500pbs of rowbury, willard, etc, so we can get an idea about each
Rowbury ran 4:00.3 last year in Europe. Willard ran 4:01 at Pre this year, just like Wurth-Thomas.
After Rowbury outkicked Wurth at the trials, I think a third sub 4 may be there...
Ruth Wysocki, how does it feel to have all of these runners doing so well now? Do you feel that this is the new stage of USA mid distance running? This has to be one of the strongest teams now.
She ran well in a 1500 a few days ago in that crappy rain.
She races more than any pro distance runner in America.

That's not normal progression for someone her age.
Just saying.
If she were from anywhere else.
