LANCE IN YELLOW!
LANCE IN YELLOW!
So?
Nope.
no i am in yellow
I am also ahead of Lance, and will destroy him again.
Lance is 3rd place overall - 8 sec. down
Good ride - Great team ride.
When will he take the yellow jersey?

He won't. AC will have it soon.

He won't.
He's lost his chance now, unless something untoward happens to AC.

I'm guessing never. Cantador looked really good today. I don't see Armstrong hanging with him. If Armstrong could have gone with Contador today, he would have.

LMAO...Yes the race is over after the first mountain stage and 7 stages....Why even bother continuing, it's clearly AC's tour....
I think Lance will still take it. Lance chooses summit finishes where he can gain more time than just 20 seconds. As a good teammate he had to let Contador go. He also knew that he wouldn't be losing much time today. There is plenty of time for Lance to make his bid for #8.

He could have aken it today. He stayed back as the defensive rider to help his teamate Contador Alberto, the better climber, chase down the leader.
I will say this about Armstrong. He officially let everyone know today that he is still one of the best climbers. For being 37 and out of the pro circuit for four years gave a lot of people doubt about if he could still hang at the front of the Tour. Well, he still can.
A few years ago he would have crushed this stage.
Does this mean the other riders' doping regimens have caught up to Lance's?

In 2005 he won one stage and it was the 20th, so to say he would've crushed it a few years ago is FALSE

Armstrong may or may not have been able to go with AC today, but it's irrelevant. Never chase down an attack by your own teammate.
Feel free to cover others who try to chase him down though. This is exactly what LA did.

I didn't think Contador looked that good. He was clearly attacking hard, yet was only able to put 21 seconds into a group what included Bradley Wiggins and other B-level climbers. Meanwhile, Armstrong looked comfortable and calm. Contador will improve when the climbs steepen, and Lance will improve as he continues to ride into shape. This one is wide open.
I've thought from the start that this race would be much more exciting if Contador and Lance were on different teams. It's still great to watch but it would be so fun to watch them attack the living dog shit out of eachother.
Of course, I'm a homer, but I was pretty ticked off at the result today. AC attacked, but didn't keep moving away from the group of contenders after the initial acceleration. Lance looked really comfortable sitting right behind Cadel and covered every move by the Ausie without a problem. I'm sure Lance could have gone with AC if he wanted to. In fact, I feel kind of robbed that we won't get to see who is the better cyclist right now because they are on the same team and Lance has already been relegated to 2nd man status.
I guess I can dream that Alberto, Lance, and Levi will be comfortably 1,2,3 going into the last week and then they can sort out the podium places on the final climb.
Looks like he needs more drugs.
