Any runners 170lbs or more qualify for trials?

I don't think any of the sprinters are UNDER 170 pounds.
"I don't think any of the sprinters are UNDER 170 pounds"
jon drummond: 160 lbs
mo greene: 176
shawn crawford: 165
leonard byrd: 157
john capel: 180
justin gatlin: 168
ricky harris: 160
allen johnson: 165
j.j. johnson: 210!!!
david krummenacker: 170
coby miller: 185
tim montgomery: 160 (marion jones: 150)
angelo taylor: 185
terrance trammell: 175
His handle was '170 lb marathoner'. He was talking about qualifier for the marathon trials.
I think the Hanson's guy, Nick Cordes may be real close
I ran 2:14 at Chi-town
I'm 165 lbs, 5' 10" and qualified.
.. you are too big and it all likelihood underachieving. unless you think qualifying for a qualifier is the be all and end all of running.
Many of these stated weights are lies,by both sprinters and distance runners. Mo Greene 176--Maybe in 6th grade or with one foot on the scale.
A lot lie about their height also.
Ditto to that last post.
I know someone who ran 2:26 at 178lbs. I ran 2:35 at 182lbs.
I am around 155 to 160 lbs. at 6'1" and I am in.
i know that krummenacker is NOT 170, more like 160-165. isn't that hesch kid heavy, he should try the 400.
don't know of any heavy marthoners, shay is big but not tall enough, maybe if he was 6-3 he would be 170
Thank you to all who replied thus far...I appreciate it!
Jason Rexing weighs 215 with his trainers on.
I am 5-11 160 and Krummenacker makes me look like a little kid standing next to him.
He has at least 2 inches and 10-15 pounds on me.
Cordes from Hansons 170lbs.
with a 400pr of 55?? i don't think so, thanks for the idea though. :) i'd say krum could be 170 but seems a little smaller.
Nice to know that there are some other guys tipping the scales too. at 180, sometimes i wish i was lighter but oh well. if only i could stop eating ice cr.........

170 lb marathoner, your size is irrelevant, don't be put off by people who say you have to be small to be a great marathon runner.
Derek Clayton was 160 -161 and if he was running today he would be a 2.05 man possibly 2.04, he had that kind of talent I am sure.
It's not about your size, but about your percentage body fat. as you get fitter, with a reasonable diet, your percentage body fat will most likely come down.
look how lean KK and Tergat are, its not just genetics that determine leanness, those two might be fat in 10 years time.
Its all about doing the right training.
In the future the world record holder might be 5' 1" and weigh 110 or he might be 6' 8" and weigh 220 lb.
good shit, im sick of these skinny weak runners who act like girls about everything. if i beat u, who cares how big i am. some of you guys could get alot stronger
