I could have sworn Christian Smith took two steps off the track on the curve in the final lap of the 800 at USATF Nationals? I read a few articles recapping the race but didn't see any mentions of this Why wasn't he disqualified? Did anyone else see it or am I just crazy?
I didn't see that - but I did see Jacob Morse climb over a steeple barrier using his hands and the official looked around seemingly not sure what to do... in the end no DQ.

I saw that, kind of embarrasing when your hoping to pick up a sponsor. Right in front of the West grandstands too. Ouch.

Bucher was knocked off the track for a couple of steps in the 2000 800 final in Sydney. Was Smith pushed?
He tried passing Everett on the inside and was given a good shove onto the infield for about two or three steps.
If he was shoved, he is still legal even if he goes off the track. Everett could have been DQ'd if it was intentional, so I doubt it was intentional.

Was he the Texas guy who ran STRAIGHT into the barrier with 2 or 3 laps to go?
I believe there was only one Texas runner in the field.
How much money did Jake Morse cost himself this year?
(Or maybe mroe accurately, how much money did John Hayes cost Jake Morse this year?)
If he goes pro last year after getting 4th at the trials, he probably gets at least $20-25k a year. Now, he is looking at gear only.
Sounds like someone has an agenda. I guess that's nothing new on here but you apparently were not watching what happened if you think it was anyone but Morse that cost himself anything. He screwed up a barrier, not some coach.
