Can they do it NOW?
Interestingly, the women seem to have a better shot than the men at this point. Each would likely need some of the sprint powerhouse schools to under perform though.
Yes!! Nicole Blood is going to do GREAT in the 5k!!!
Also, Keshia Baker in the 400m. Jamesha Youngblood did great in the long jump and got 3rd, giving the Ducks 6 points. Rachel Yurkovich is also up there, and of course Thiessen in the heptathlon. Maybe Zoe Buckman can also get some points in the 800 as well.

Buckman out of the 800. Kosinski out of 1500. The women don't have the depth to win.
Honestly I was not counting on Buckman and Kosinski to be "huge" scorer... especially not Kosinski. MAYBE 1 or 2 points at the most (though this could swing it because it is very close).
However, Nicole Blood is their big distance star now. Keshia Baker, Rachel Yurkovich, and the two hep athletes are there too (Brianne Thiessen is the #1 seed)...
Too bad Amber Purvis is injured... next year Oregon should have a more solid distance crew...
Also McFadden could get some points
Forgetting Melissa Gergel in the pole vault? She beat the defending NCAA Champion Katie Morgan from Cal at Pac10s. She should be able to get some points too.
Oregon actually has a track team unlike Washington which pours everything into womens distance.
And UW will actually score points in the NCAA meet from their distance girls unlike UO. Go figure...
Don't think UW qualified anyone but distance women... five at that, very good..
Austin Abbott in the 1500 #4.
Who cares about Husky men... I was talking about the UW womens track team
I was pointing out your error in stating that UW had not qualified anyone except for UW distance women.
For UW women they have a chance to score a few points today and tomorrow. Go Dawgs!!
Anita Campbell 3rd in 10k
Follet has a chance for top 5
Lawrence has chance for top 3
Babcock has chance to score
Babcock didn't run super well at her regional meet... got in on at large times... I believe she ran a faster 1500 last year solo (when she set the HSR that was previously owned by Kim Gallagher and later broken by Jordan Hasay). Washington curse of Metcalf again?
Oregon women have a very balanced team...
Jamesha Youngblood - long jump and nice 6 points
Keshia Baker - 400 m
Amber Purvis - 100/200 but injured because a football player stepped on her foot
Melissa Gergel - pole vault
Nicole Blood - 5k
Zoe Buckman - 800 (off race for her though)
Alex Kosinski - 1500 (though not as big of a scorer)
Mattie Bridgmon - 10k, scored 2 points here
Rachel Yurkovich - javelin
Brianne Thiessen - 1st in heptathlon, 10 points
Kalindra McFadden - 6th in hep, more points
Hope they can pull this one off!
for the men, they sit at 36 with LSU at 30. at a quick glance LSU has several people in finals tomorrow in different sprint events though they are likely for lower points. however oregon really just has wheating left with a likely 10 and maybe some smaller points from mcnamara, plus you have A&M in several events tomorrow so this should be interesting.
In the remaining events: LSU @ 400m (7th seed), 800m (8th seed), 110HH (5th seed), 4x400R (9th seed)= possible 37 points; USC @ 800m (7th seed), 4x400R (8th seed) = 25 points; Florida @ 400m (3rd seed), 110HH (3rd & 6th seeds), 4x400R (3rd seed) = 42 points; UO @ 800m (1st seed) = 46 points.
Points from Macnamara in the 1500 would be huge.

I forgot to include Texas A&M. Despite their DQ in the 4x100, they've got 4 guys in the TJ tomorrow. The above points also don't include points from the PV. I'm not sure of the results of that event and how it impacted the team standings.
Damn, Melissa Gergel getting 14th really hurts Oregon!! Noo!!! Beard or Lucas from A&M have to screw up now..
Uh, oh? Texas A&M is stacked for tomorrow; 400m (8th seed), 110mHH (1st and 5th seeds), 4x400 (5th seed), TJ (1st, 3rd, 7th, & 12th seeds).
