AND RUPP ISSSSSS OUTTTAA HEREEEE
AND RUPP ISSSSSS OUTTTAA HEREEEE
Chelanga is going to throw down any second now!
Haha, I love this Washington guy getting lapped and sticking with the leaders. That has to be the most annoying move ever, plus he's wearing a belly shirt like a football player in the 80's.
slowed so much the lapped runner ran with them for over a lap - now it's fast!
Chelenga goes..Rupp with him..forrest looks like he's in his finishing kick, but he's hung on!
WTF! That was a huge move.. Rupp owned it though.
Did Rupp just drop a 55 second 24th lap?
he just completely wrecked Forrest and Chelanga the last 800. He crossed him self at 600 to go and just put down the hammer. He looked behind him about 20 times 400 to go. Multiple times down the backstretch. Multiple times down the homestretch. Not even close. Not even by a little bit.
Forrest surges, Rupp matches, runs away with it. Forrest second. Rupp may have won, and made it look pretty easy- although he looked behind him about 10 times- but Forrest ran incredibly tough- I was certain several times that he was about to fall off the back (starting around the 2nd mile) and he held on every time until Rupp's last move.
Rupp 28:21, Forrest 28:24
Sounds like it was all over after the 1st K.
i know rupp has gone sub-4 for the mile, but don't know about forrest or sammy. anyone out there have the stats? rupp's going to out kick them...
Rupp 1:59 for last 800m, looked great.

another 2:00 last 800 for Rupp......yawn...... seriously he is so good salazar has to be considered the best American coach right now with him and k. goucher.
it looked like they were trying to break rupp, which wasn't really gonna happen, but forrest's surges ended up breaking chelanga
Rupp easily, then forrester, chelanga way back in 3rd
it wouldn't have mattered if rupp had shared the pace or not. there was no way he was going to lose this thing. I've never seen anyone tempo their way to an NCAA championship like that. I doubt even the last 800 in 2:00 (including slowing a lot the last 100) took much out of him.

Rupp is unstoppable.
With about 6 and half laps to go it looked like Rupp looked to the tents on the turn and smiled. Anyone else see that?
I think my last comments didn't post until after the race was finished. Server overload I guess. Forrest showed the heart of a lion by surging past Rupp, though it wasn't smooth. And he blows away Chelanga, nice race! Not sure what is going on with Chelanga. Puskedra totally faded to 11th, bummer.
Holy F****ing Sh**. Employee 1.1 just broke 15:00 for 5000 for the 1st time at age 36.
