alright letsrun encyclopedias, help me out
For the life of me i cannot remember this game. please help! Its set in a castle (was available in 1990's when i was in elementary school). The purpose was to find keys and solve puzzles to get to a different location. often times there were little messages from people that would quiz you where things were. Bright colors. definitely set in a castle haha. somehow it was an educational game but eludes me how.

Dark Castle was good, but Beyond Dark Castle was much better. Probably the best game ever made for those early Mac's. I don't know what game the original poster was looking for, but there is no way it was as good as Beyond Dark Castle.
I wish someone would make an emulator to play those games on current computers.
I know what you are talking I remember playing this game all the time in the 3rd grade when the class computer had it. We also had one where you invaded other lands, built castles, and defended your lands to try and claim the whole kingdom and then the Pope awarded you. Wish I could remember those games.

I think I know what game you're talking about- was one of the puzzles to fill in ladder rungs? I'm just remembering this game, and I used to re-play it tons of times. I can't remember what it's called, but I think at the end you unlocked a wizard or something.
