There's a quite well documented reconstruction that suggests that the wind gauge was faulty (it showed 0 on an otherwise windy day). I'm sure if you googled for it you'd find it.

i think she ran 10.54 in the Olympic Games 100m final, with a following wind slightly over the legal limit.
she was awesome, of course most people will tell you she was drugged to the eyeballs, but there is no evidence.
people sold stories to the news people saying they sold human growth hormone to her or injected her with steroids, but I just dont believe them.
of course i want to believe she was clean, but i also want to see real evidence either way.

Massive, unprecedented improvement late int he career? Yup, she had that.
Irregularities with the wind gauge? Yep -- almost everyone in that final ran their best time ever, or best time of the year. And it read 0.
Photo proof of her injecting? A signed statment saying "I did drugs?" We don't have those. We have everything else. The woman is guilty of doping. There is evidence. and even if you don't believe that, the overwhelming evidence points to a wind gauge failure at the trials. Open you eyes before spouting off about "no evidence."

You're right no other woman has come close so what happened to the other seven women in that race? Flo Jo was simply the greatest female sprinter of all time there is no need at this stage of the game to concern yourself with trying to belittle her accomplishments.

yes i have already mentioned the faulty wind guage so dont worry about that

you know who i really feel sorry for- evelyn ashford. She kicked flo jos ass all over the place for years when they both had normal bodies. A REAL role model. She doesnt give in to temptation and now she looks like dog shit- well if you think flojo was clean she looks like dog shit which obv i dont.

Who cares about the wind? She ran 10.6x or so in the heats. It was just like the Chinese women who were trying to run slowly and not break the records by too much. I mean she cruised in those races she should have just run like 10.30 if she was gonna make a deal and not get busted.

Quit cheering for a dead personal favorite athlete. One fact that is conveniently left out of your comments is that 15 years later, a test for human growth hormone is still not available (but may be in time for the Olympics later this year. So saying that she never failed a drug test (that we know of), while possibly accurate, is a somewhat incomplete statement.

I'm looking at a photo of Flo Jo from Seoul 1988 right now and I don't see any huge bulging muscles, just the normal development you see in any woman sprinter.
facial hair? I see a tiny little woman moustache which she has made no attempt to shave, hide or disguise.

I'm sure there are other mysteries (outside of how you can blindly believe all performances regardless of suspicious circumstances), but that's all I could come up with in a couple of minutes.

think about it, just running the way she did in 1988, is the most awesome, amazing, controversial series of races that anyone has ever done. billions of people have talked about it and will continue to talk about it.
this is not your usual running career and so it will be scrutinised in a way which is not normal.
look closely at videos of her running in 88, there is one very important aspect you have overlooked, and it is totally legal. see if you can spot it.
