You have on the front page that Mo Farah ran 27:40 to beat the old British record of 27:45. This is wrong. He ran 27:48 which beat the old record of 27:55.
I don't get it.
Are the first 2 illegal courses?
1 27:34 Nick Rose 30.12.51 Bristol & West New Orleans LA, USA 1 Apr 84
2 27:53 Mike O'Reilly 23.04.58 Highgate Ukiah CA, USA 19 Oct 86
3 27:55 Mark Scrutton 14.04.60 Tonbridge Phoenix AZ, USA 5 Mar 84
Listed on powerof10 and GBRathletics
Yes Nick Rose did that on an unratified course.
Nick Rose time of 27.34 is officially the european 10k record as shown on the iaaf website so it must of been ratified.
The 1984 Crescent City Classic was run on certified point to point course.
Nick Rose was third to Mark Nenow (27:22) and Micheal Musyoki (27:29) on that day.
Anyone have the results of that Ukiah race. I seem to remember unbleiveable dept in that race.
