I got a pair this week and they truly rock! A definite upgrade from the Lunartrainer. If you liked the Lunartrainer you'll love the Lunarglide!

Are you neutral or a overpronater?
I'm neutral. You can definitely feel the extra support when you put them on (I can, anyway) but once I start running I don't feel it anymore.
What was the sizing compared to the lunar trainers?
The lunar glide is not an update to the lunar trainer. They are different shoes. The glide is going to be about 2 ounces heavier.
It's just like the current Nike Elite is not he same as the first two versions. It is a different shoe.
yeah I can't seem to get my hands on a pair of lunarglides. Is the only place to buy them online right now? my local nike store is still waiting for there shipment to arrive.
You said the Lunarglide is an upgrade from the Lunartrainer. But how do they compare with the LunarRacer, which is what I thought they were supposed to be similar to. The LunarRacer is A LOT different from the LunarRacer. The LunarRacer is an amazing shoe.

Is it really true that the Lunar Glide is HEAVIER than the Trainer, which in turn, is heavier than the racers? I prefer the Racers much more than the Trainers, so if the Glide is even heavier than the Trainers, it is probably not for me.
but what about? wrote:

I think you mean the LunarRacer is A LOT different from the LunarTrainer...
The LunarGlide isn't an upgrade from the LunarTrainer. It's different. The base doesn't have the wide flare in the forefoot. It also has a different transition from heel to toe, most likely from the wedge shape that is cut internally and the piece of plastic on the medial side of the midsole. The upper is also wider and definitely more voluminous.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the changes. I'm not saying it's a POS, but overall I think the Trainer is better.
And I don't know what you're looking for in a comparison between the Glide and the Racer...it's pretty self explanatory. The Racer is, y'know, light with less mass and the FlyWire upper. The Glide is heavier and bulkier.
I like the fit of the Lunarlite Racers, but I don't like the fit of the Lunar Trainers.
The heel on the Trainers is too wide and awkward for me.
Is the heel of Glide similar to the Trainers?

Well, compared to the Racers, the Trainers ARE a wider, more awkward shoe, no doubt (I own both). Everyone that I've handed the Racer too, is surprised how light they are. There is, flat-out, a HUGE difference in the fit-feel-function between the Racers and Trainers, so if the Glide is even heavier than the Trainers, I would not expect them to be anything like the Racers, but I haven't seen the Glide yet.
I was hoping Racers fit with more cushion yet narrower base. That would be ideal.

Did you mean to say you are hoping the Glides fit "with more cushion yet narrower base", rather than the Racers? If you really did mean you hope the Racers have even more cushion than they already do, with an even narrower base--which already is considerably narrower than the Trainers--then such a shoe would be very strange indeed. I found the Racers to already fit pretty narrow, so-much-so that I went with a 1/2 size larger and removed the shoe strings from the lower two eyelets (I do have a wide forefoot). If you made the base of the Racer narrower, and added even more of the lunar foam cushion, I think it would probably be a pretty instable shoe.

Yes, that is what I meant, thank you.
One of the knocks I had on my Trainers is that for as wide-of-base it provides, it nonetheless was too narrow in the toe-box for my tastes.
Last time I was in a Nike store, I thought the salesman said the upcoming Glide was going to be an upgrade to the Racer (rather than to the Trainer). It appears that is not the case. I was looking forward to seeing how they would improve the Racer, which is already an amazing shoe. A little more conformed-fit in the toe-box would be nice.
I was wondering if anyone has run in these for an extended period of time. I have the trainer now (3rd pair), but they wear down extremely quick. Are the glides the same? I love the trainers (the racers, I agree fit better), but I can't stand now they wear so easily (mostly traction and the material under the rubber). I was thinking of going back to the marathoner as a daily shoe, but I am also considering the glide if it can hold up.
So how did your racers hold up? Mine have held up pretty well, I think (yes, a little surprising).
Just read this about the Glides:
"The shoe also has soft, yet strong microfiber synthetic overlays ultrasonically welded into place for seam-free comfort."
That could be an additional improvement over the Trainers (besides the more volumnous upper), since I found the Trainers to rub and callous the inside of my big toe (I'm a pronator).
Are the Lunarglides even available yet? I just called all the local running stores and box sports stores and none of them have this shoe.
I'm pretty sure that you can only get them online right now. Niketown might have them as well. For run specialty they don't release until 8/1.
FWIW, they're also available on Eastbay (in a couple more colors than Nike's online store as well).
The LunarGlide is an update to the LunarTrainer. The upgrade to the LunaRacer is the LunaRacer 2 and should be available next year.
The Glide should be a bit less cushioned than the LunarTrainer but in turn will be more rugged. The minimalist upper (designed to mimic the old Waffle shoes) is replaced with a nice, seamless upper with flywire that should give great fit and lockdown. The Lunar foam is a different combination than the Trainer, giving it more life and less cushion, while the outsole is adding some more traditional elements for traction.

Not quite. They are not available until early/mid August on Eastbay. Same with Road Runner sports.
