Ok, I am wanting to walk on to my school's cross country team this fall and I have some base questions: For the summer, should I just focus on milage or put in some speed workouts? There is a two miler every two weeks near where I live so maybe that should be my "speed workout" or should I do like tempos and fartleks every week, or even some time of interval workouts? I am not starting from scratch. I have been doing like 30+ miles a week, not enough for college what so ever, but I am not totally ot of shape with out hope. I just havent ran competively since jr year of high school. Any advice would help. Thanks.
