I'm a 3rd year track & cross country runner at a small, terrible Division I school. I redshirted my sophomore year of outdoor track as well. I am managing to graduate in 3 years with a double major and was recently accepted to Law School. I would like to continue running if at all possible.I cannot see myself not running an hour a day even if it is as a stress reliever. I will continue running & as though I can still be very successful off of 70-80mpw at the division III level. I've been steered in several directions concerning my eligibility. The AD at the aforementioned school said that Division III does not allow graduate school transfers. However, I want to double check considering my current AD said I this would be okay. Is there any way I can appeal or work around this? If anyone can direct me towards any related online links I would greatly appreciate it.
I don't buy the saying that it's impossible to run while in law school. Shorter ran 100+ mile weeks and won a gold medal. I realize that it's going to be rough, but am not ready to give up running yet and am a pretty good student.
