This may have already been posted, but from the article:
Ducks to chase relay mark
The 4-by-mile men’s relay event has been moved to the Oregon Twilight Meet on May 9.
UO director of track and field Vin Lananna said four teams have signed up for the event, and he expects to add at least one more.
They will be chasing the collegiate record of 16:04.54 set by Michigan in 2005 and the U.S. record of 16:08.54 set by Athletics West in 1984.
Confirmed entries are the University of Oregon, Oregon Track Club Elite, an international team from Australia, and a Portland-based squad of post-collegians being trained by former Wisconsin coach Jerry Schumacher.
Oregon’s pool of milers includes Rupp, Matthew Centrowitz, Andrew Wheating, Shadrack Biwott, Scott Wall and James Withers.

Sounds like some good comp. Could our boy Gregson be in the lineup for Australias team? That would be sweet. Will it be Riley, Jager, Teg and Solinsky representing Jerry's squad? This could be some excellent competition, and the ducks could miss out on the AR to Jerry's boys.
If i was anywhere near Eugene I'd try to see this live. Possibly Rupp VS. Gregson VS. Teg VS. Jennings over a mile for relay victory, glory and maybe an AR.

Obviously Australia can't set an A(American)R, but i don't expect them to win. They better NOT! -
Austrailia cant beet the USA.

jerry maguires 16:04

If the Aus have Risely, Birmingham, Gregson, and Roff then they should be the team to beat.
-
So there are going to be 12 oregon based runners tryin to break 4 minutes for the mile in one long race.
Pretty cool. -

The saucies vs the americans would be so eggciting! I can hardly container myself!
Rupp is going to squash the competition for sure! -
I honestly have no idea if thats their four, but my point is that they definately shouldnt be overlooked. I know Birmingham, Gregson, Riseley and Bromley are going to be over here - Roff Im not sure about. Also dont forget St. Lawrence who just ran 13:25 at Mt Sac.

Be ambitious young men. Maybe someday you guys in Methville, Oregon can bring home an Olympic Track and Field Medal to the United States. Wouldn't that be a novelty.

Any rumors as to how competitive the 800 or 1500 at Oregon Twilight may be if Wheating and crew are going to be running the 4 x mile?
-
The ducks have 6 runners near or under 4:00 and 2 won't race on the relay so they should still have a couple guys trying to crack 4:00 in an open mile or 3:42ish for the 1500. Granted that's not Wheating (or Rupp) fast but it'll be enought to give guys who want to go faster a push.
-
They don't mention Jordan McNamara as one of their 6 milers. He has already run 3:41 or 3:42. Is he hurt again?

perhaps this young chap will be on the oz squad, though it doesn't appear he has a great 1500 yet. -
jerry's team would have melted faces if solinsky and teg hadn't been hurt this winter. oh well, sets up for a good race at least

I hope, if Oregon gets this record, the previous record remains on the books as being set in a college only race.

Glad we all came to Eugene to be rabbits for the University of Oregon.

Why in the world would Oregon not come to Penn Relays to set the record?
