This weekend 5 Kenyans ran under 2:06!!!
Does anyone have a idea how many Kenyans have run under 2:07 now? It must be near 30 runners by now? Help Dave Monti?
7 kenyans went under 2:07 today
and those are the only 7 kenyans under 2:07 so far this year.
Look at this list:
30 Kenyans have run under 2:07 according to it if I counted correctly. Plus four (?) of today's guys (Kwambai has run under 2:06 before, not sure about the others). Plus all the Kenyans who did it in the meantime (list is from november 2008).
Anyway, the number should be well above 30 by now.

not including today, about 30 kenyans have gone sub 2:07 ALL TIME, FOREVER. not including today, there are only 77 PERFORMANCES (about 50 athletes) that are sub 2:07, ALL TIME, FOREVER. Sub 2:07 is still very special.
Anyone knows the record for sub 2:07 performances in one year?

we need more 13:10 to 13:20 US guys moving up to the ultimate event!

Don't kid yourself though, the list isn't THAT deep.a
but look at what Tergat mentioned...we are always looking for excuses...there a lot of US guys out there with ~13:10-13:20 potential or have run these times...not even considering the marathon.
..right now we have only have Hall, Dathan, Meb, and Abdi with those kind of 5km times running the marathon...we need more to try sooner before they get burnt out and lose motivation....
