Thats how far behind we are, and there is a reason because talent like German's is suppressed in this country. Why? Because the rich boys are 'more favored' yet when they really have to push how do they do? They can never push themselves the way those poor boys can.
Its clear as day.
Now you just more cred. Rupp "may" be able to run a low 27:00 this year? have you paid attention at all to Rupp's progress? Dude ran 27:33 two years ago. He hasn't gone to Europe to race one, where all these times you are referring to are set.
His next barriers are 13:00 and 27:00. Not too many people crack those. German is NOT anywhere ready to crack those. Until he is at that level you have no point. German may be a man without an event right now. Not fast enough to compete in a world class mile (need a kick) and not strong enough for a world class 5K. 3K is probably his best, but unless he can hurdle well he's out of any major championship.
Bye the way, are you joking with the "looks" thing? That is just insulting to German. Both are neither particularly handsome nor ugly, just leave that at that.
By your logic, Wheating is the most marketable. Faster, a ton of upside, a real kick and tall and good looking. Not only that, his interviews are FAR more engaging than Germans. For me I don't care about marketability, I like watching runners run fast.
