I'm not saying I necessarily believe Lance was clean, but that quote doesn't mean anything. IF he is clean he would probably be pretty jaded by answering the same question over and over all these years. That could explain the tone of his response.

Except, he still is close friends with his wife, she lives nextdoor. The engagement breakup was mutual and Mrs Crow and him get along. His comeback is as much about raising awarness for the 8 million that die a year in the US from cancer as it is for his ego and competitiveness (he admits that). AND he's not getting "paid" by the team so to spend a sh** load of money for random independent testing (considering he is getting tested now anyway) isn't it worth it because people like you hate on him anyway right? There is always a shaddy thing going on right? I just read some theory that Lance would pay the independent tester under the table to hide results! HA, what is the point, to prove to someone like you? You have your mind made up anyway. The guy hasn't tested positive yet, and he's the most tested athlete, a ton of people hate him in France yet still have nothing legit/proven on him, plus his samples are frozen to be tested later, yet everyone is convinced he's a cheater. Logical?

I'm not completely naive to think he's 100% clean, but jeez, give the guy a fair arguement on here.

The "quote" you are trying to defend is not real. The poster was alluding to the A-rod interview where he admitted he did PEDs - trying to say that Lance will eventually do the same thing. Good try though.

Don Catlin, the prominent antidoping scientist who was supposed to run Armstrong’s program, said Wednesday that they had decided earlier in the day to part ways, without Catlin’s analyzing a single blood or urine sample from Armstrong. The program was too complex and too costly, Catlin said, and the decision to terminate it was mutual.

“In the real world, when you try to implement a program as grandiose as what you had in mind, it just becomes so complicated that it’s better not to try,” Catlin said, adding that a contract with Armstrong had never been signed. “We’re all disappointed, but it’s just not going to be possible.”

Everyone with a brain knows that LA was taking a great regiem of PEDs, but so was everyone else. He was the best dirty biker in a sea of dirty bikers.

Maybe because he made such a big to do about his relationship with Kristin and his kids in his books, as if he was the ultimate husband and dad. He set himself up for all the criticism he's received for his family and dating life.

I don't think he was doping.. But if he was look at everyone else that was to. So if they all were then it was a pretty fair playing field and he was still better

If it is indeed a fair dirty playing field because they are all dirty then why don't they all get clean and play on a fair clean field?

I'll tell you why......Because every serious athletes know there is nothing fair once you start cheating by being dirty.

ARMSTRONG ANNOUNCES TEST RESULTS, POSTED ON LIVESTRONG.COM

Austin, TX, February 11, 2009--"After a thorough review of the efficiency of a separate testing program the decision has been made to transfer the comprehensive program we had planned to do with Don Catlin to Ramsus Damsgaard, a renowned anti-doping expert who runs the Astana team’s internal testing program," said Bill Stapleton, Armstrong's long-time agent and lawyer.

“Lance is the most tested athlete in sports history and he is certainly the most tested cyclist in the world since his return to the sport last year evidenced by no fewer than 16 unannounced out-of-competition tests since August all over the world. We will continue to do everything we can do to ensure transparency and honesty in his testing results.”

"We have the utmost respect for Don and all he is doing in the fight against doping in sport but we faced a myriad of problems relating to administration, coordination and cost," added Stapleton.

Armstrong will continue to be tested by USADA, UCI, and WADA. Detailed blood test results from seven UCI and Damsgaard out-of-competition tests are now posted on LIVESTRONG.com. Requests have been made to USADA and WADA to release their results so they can be posted as well.
