i'm a collegiate runner, and yes i'm injury prone. i don't get stress fractures, only soft tissue injuries. should i be doing workouts (especially hard ones) in flats or in my trainers (brooks adrenaline)? any advice would be appreciated

If you get injured from working out in flats then you seriously need to look at muscle imbalances, nutrition, general strength, form, and other factors besides your shoes...
If running workouts in flats causes injuries, what's going to happen when you try to run a race in spikes?
i'm not saying i've been injured from doing workouts in flats. i'm just saying i have been injured in the past and am thus and classifying myself as injury prone. i have not tried to do workouts in flats yet. most of my collegiate teammates do. my question is it safe to try it? what is the general benefit of working out in flats vs. trainers?
Do your workouts in the t5 and do lots of plyos and core stuff to make your weak-ass tougher.
There is a lot of info on this topic, search. To sum up, it depends on your running form. If you NEED cushioning then no, if not then yes the flats are "good." There is no single absooute answer, hense all the debate. I'd say if you can't train in flat your form needs work.
ok, i think i will try flats then. what flat should i buy? i'm considering the brooks t5 racer, brooks racer st3, or nike streak xc. i'm kinda leaning towards the brooks racer st3 a little bit
