I am training for a half marathon in March. I jsut wanted to run this by some of you on the board and see what you thought.
I run about 35 - 40 miles a week on 5 runs. most of my runs are between 7 and 8 miles and I will run 10 - 12 every other week or so...just when I feel like it. I have recently (maybe 4 weeks ago) run 16:50 in a local 5k and was unpushed by anyone (won by 30 sec.) Last saturday I ran 1:23:30 for a full 13.1 distance that I varified a few times to make sure it was as accurate as it could be. In running the 13.1 I tried to hold a solid pace but still feel like I could have kept going for another 10 mins or so. Thats just how I felt at the end.
I say all that because I want to see if you all think im going in the right direction. I would like to run in the 1:18 - 1:19 range. Do you think this is possible?
