Can someone suggest a good resource for finding old high school results? Looking cross country and track from the 80's in the Dallas area.

Go to a library in the Dallas area and look up old newspapers (microfiche perhaps) that would have carried that info. Might get lucky enough to find a newspaper that archives all that online, but probably not.
Thanks. You are right about online availability. DMN only goes back to 85 and even then - they don't have those results. Amazing how there is not a huge demand to find cross country results from the 80's. It was standing room only at thos meets (insert sarcasm).
I have actually spent a lot of tiome trying to dig up results from TX Track and XC in the 80's myself. I have some and have been finding more through the newspaperarchive.com website. It's a pay site though. What specifically are you looking for? Dallas/FW only? I have a lot of West Texas and State, Region 1 stuff. Tx relays, etc. I'm always digging for 80's TX stuff myself (that was when I ran in Tx) and I would be glad to share anything I dig up with you if I come across it.
Joe
Dang, I searched for my dad between his high school years 1974-1978 on newspaperARCHIVE.com and it has 12 results, I really dont want to pay 12 dollars though
I can supply results from the 2006 (or was it '05? '07?) Houston Young Lawyers Foundation 5K. Interested in those ?Call me about running this afternoon ... :o) ...

I paid $75 for a year, unlimited access. It's been worth it to me.
your dad is not worth 12 dollars
That would be great if you could send stuff. How would you send it? I could get you a generally unsused email...
In fact email me at
and I will reply with an email account that is actually used. We could then coordinate further. I was looking more for Dallas area stuff, but Texas Relays results are always good too.
