Just coming off of a stress fracture and I haven't raced in a long time. I haven't worked out in a long while either. I did manage to get my mileage back to where it was in college, and I'd like to see where I am at in the 5k. No races in my area coming up yet, but I was considering doing Frank Horwill's 5k prediction formula mentioned here....
http://www.howtobefit.com/5k-training.htm
It says add 3 minutes for slow potential and 2.25 for maximum potential. Since my 5k has always been stronger than my 1500-mile and I will be time trialing the 1500m by myself, I figured I'd add only the 2.25 to my 1500m TT. Sound reasonable? If I am convinced that it is at least reasonably accurate, I will perform it and let everyone know the results of the time trial. The next possible 5k is 3 weeks away.
