Until now, I've been following Lydiards program to the tee. I'm getting done with my base phase and I was scheduled to do my first hill workout tomorrow. Only thing is, there is no significant hills within 45 minutes drive. Once a week I might drive up there (its a state park) and do some hills, but I don't want to be driving 45 minutes a couple times a week to run some hills. There are a couple of slight hills in my town 300 meters long that have a very small incline, but I think they are too small to do any serious training on. Is there any alternative I can do to hills that will get me the same effect? Thanks.
