What is a 5000, paced as below, worth in an evenly paced raced?
2:58 + 2:57 + 2:54 + 2:52 + 2:43 = 14:24
Thanks

Why would you want that to be evenly paced?
Science says most top performances are run 51/49% (first half then second half).
For 14:20 = 860 seconds -> 438 - 422 (7:18 and 7:02)
That's a little faster than you ran, but not much..
It might have been a little better if you were SLIGHTLY more even, and thereby hit the 51-49 numbers, but it wouldn't be a whole lot faster.
Okay, then I mean an optimally paced race. Thanks for your response.
Elvis, Little Richard, and I used to call up Phil and Don for a little Everly pacing on our 5Ks. Sometimes they couldn't make it, so we'd get Buddy or Chuck to pace us.
Sometimes John and Paul would come. Mick and Keith always said they'd come, but they'd never show up until the after race party.
