Seriously. Amazing soundtrack too. Makes me wonder if there are any other Bollywood songs worth listening to.

Yes.
I agree. Best movie out of the 20 plus, mostly academy award types, I've saw in the last year.
The youngest kids---about age 6 I think---were absolutely great. The kids were complete unknowns from the slums in Mumbai, India and did not speak English. Director Danny Boyle gave Loveleen Tandan co-director credit for her work with the kids.
gran torino>>>>slum dog
Gran Torino is a really good movie, but your dumb to think it is >>>>. Slumdog will beat it for best picture.

I absolutely loved this movie. The best I've seen in a while. Much better than Benjamin Button.
"Slumdog Millionaire" was my fave of the year. I did see "Gran Torino" and liked it a great deal.
But I think this could be the year that those Oscar folk think they need to give Best Picture to a movie that is both critically acclaimed AND which made a ton of money. It could go to "Wall-E" or "The Dark Knight"
Wost. Movie. Of the Year.

irony. I love it.
Slumdog was good. I hate movies, but I actually sat through it without looking at my watch every 10 minutes. I thought the ending was a bit gay though. But yes, it was a very worthwhile film.
to the op, yes there are tons of fantastic bollywood songs.
what are some good bollywood songs
besides chaiyya chaiyya
Why don't you try to use another word besides "gay" to express a negative feeling?

You thought it was a bit gay? Why is that? What is gay about a guy and girl together in the final scene. Maybe you're simply afraid of girls, but not afraid of pointing out grammar errors.
movies with contrived happy endings annoy me. I prefer movies that reflect real life, where there are rarely happy endings.
spare me the "gay" complaints. It's just a word.
Search for A.R. Rahman on YouTube. He's the top Bollywood music composer. Here are a few from Slumdog Millionaire:

Another great song by A.R. Rahman:
You're the one who picked the the word "gay". You opened yourself to the "gay" compliments...oops, that should be complaints.
All movies have contrived endings. Movies do not reflect real life.
Just a word, huh? So are a number of racial slurs. Do you use those, too? Are they just words?
last I checked, "gay" is not a slur. Look it up.
as for "all movies being contrived", yes, all movies are made up and not real, but that doesn't mean they can't seem more realistic. Like I said it was a good film, probably the best for the year, but I'm not going nuts over it.
Oh, so I guess you weren't using it in a negative way. If you go around saying this or that is "gay" at work, I'm sure that no one would take offense. Guess again, browski. You're an asshole.
interesting. So calling someone an "asshole" is perfectly acceptable at your place of work? What's that, your parents' basement?
I didn't realize the same level of decorum I live by when I'm serving burgers at Burger King is required here at hallowed letsrun. Please excuse my error in judgement.
