So I have a college final tomorrow. Should I get up early and run?

Make sure you still get 8 hours of sleep, and you'll be alright. It might make you smarter.
If you want to perform really well on this final, go in hungry. Not hungry in a figurative sense - although that's good too - but literally hungry. We have an evolutionary response that makes our brains work harder when we're hungry. We adapted that way so that we could come up with clever ideas to find food.

i did that once last year, rolled an ankle about 5 miles from my apartment. luckily i was able to hobble back, but i was getting nervous when it first happened thinking i wouldnt make it in time.
well i love running before finals. Aim for an hour run and go out really fast the first 30 mins in an out and back run. Then try and beat your time coming back. And there is even an added bonus, if you dont make it back you are late for your final! Best kind of motivation
if you are prepared for it and get enough rest, why change a normal routine
Is the pope catholic?

This is terrible advice. I have never done well on a final when I was hungry -- you can't think when your stomach is growling. I have always done my best when I ran and then took a shower and ate a nice (but not ridiculous) meal afterward.
Almost all my tests last year were at 5:00, with practice at 3:00. I would always study a bunch before hand, think about subject during my run, then shower and go to the test. It usually worked out.
If you need the study time, just run after the test. I took one day completely off last year because I had three finals in one day. It didn't kill me.
I ran a 10-miler at 6:10 pace (fast for me at the time) and then failed my Organic Chem final.
I probably would have failed anyway, but I think the run made the difference between a 55% or so (failing with dignity!) and the 40-something I got.
Other advice: Don't draw a picture of a dog when you don't know the answer to a question. Leave it blank-- the professor will not award points for humor.
