Galen Rupp runs 27:41.24 on a "10K" in the west regional race. reports come out that the course is only 85 meters short which would put him at 27:55 for the 10k. does anyone else not beleive that the course was on 85 meters short. a month ago a thread was created and intensly agrued about auburns course and how short it was. that was an "8k" home meet. this is the WEST REGIONAL. does no one question it because it was Rupp that ran the time and not a kenyan? what if an african had run 27:41 in any other region for a "10k"? im sure people would raise all kinds of hell over that. im just sayin maybe there was a thread and i missed it, but it seems like that course was a little to fast to be a cross country course. maybe a little to rupp certified. cinsider the numbers in china he ran 27:36.99 for a true 10K on the worlds biggest stage. now he run a mere 5 seconds slower on a cross country course for the west regional race, a race he would win easily any way. just 85 meters doesnt seem to fit to well with me. call me crazy...
