How would you convert a marathon time to a distance like 60k.
I want to run a 60k and have no idea what sort of pace to shoot for.
i'm a 2:31 marathoner.

60K time = (marathon time) * (60K/42.2K)^1.06
That formula works pretty well in getting between race distances equally trained for. You'll probably be undertrained to handle the 60K distance, so probably should go for something slower than suggested by this estimate.
After a few easy miles to warm-up, I'd suggest you gently progress to pace that is 30-40 secs per mile slower than your current marathon pace. Take your time getting into a groove.
I had good luck with that method.....many moons ago.
I'm assuming you are well-trained and have done marathon-type mileage.
Good luck!!
PS Are you running the NYRR this weekend?
4 hours would be a nice goal
i was doing 100 mile weeks and ran NYC last week.
i've honestly barely run since, but legs recovered pretty well. a few maintenance runs is about it. i'm just gonna go for it though.
i've never gone over 26.2 so it should be interesting.
wondering if sub 4 would be doable....
and yeah, doing the NYRR 60k.
