Beat one before at a local 5K race.
I out sprinted him at the end with a 16:03.
Yeah, he was a slow african, but I beat him nonetheless.

I beat a pretty good one, Steve Kogo, years ago in a seven-miler. I think his ankle was broken.
When I was in high school there were a lot of Kenyan immigrants running for Kent-Meridian HS and I managed to beat some of them. They were all fast despite never having run before in thier lives.
I beat Jordan McNamara once. He's pretty good.
Only when they tried to do away with Apartheid.

Hell Yeah I have!! I beat Kip Kangogo((Spelling)BYU) and Robert Cheseret((Spelling)ASU) at NCAA's xc in 2003. It was so effing cold their black asses didn't know how to respond. I ran poorly because of the conditions but they ran even worse!! It's one of my best memories.
I have a picture of me passing Joe Nzau at Boston. He is wearing #10 and has a Kenya singlet on. I also beat Henry Rono by 10 or 20 seconds at Boston.
Yes I have beaten Africans when they're not old, injured, sick or out of shape.
Yeah, fella from Botswana in college, Moses somebody. He was like 5'4" and wasn't training at the time, walked on the team to fill a relay spot. We ran an indoor twilight meet early in the track season in 1987: 800, 1,500 and 5,000 all in one night. I smoked him in the 800m, 2:05 to 2:15ish; ran the 15 in 4:15 to his 4:40something. Turns out the guy had no idea how to pace himself cause the only race he'd ever run before was a 50km in S.Africa which he said he ran in just a little under 3 hours. Needless to say he ran the 5000 a little faster, like at his 1500 pace. Lapped me twice.
Next meet he runs under 4:00 in the 15 and under 15 in the 5k.
Not that I know of. But I did beat a Torres once (the slower one)
Usually the Africans all go out in a big pack at road races and then a couple fall off every time. Most people who can run low or mid 16s for a 5k have probably beaten an African at some point.
Abdi Abdi's little brother ran for a rival high school to mine here in Tucson. He was much more casual about running than Abdi. I don't think I ever beat him, but he was two years ahead of me. If we were in the same class, I maybe could've taken him.
Beat one in a college 8k x-c race with a 26:16.
