Glad to see Ruben Sanca from UML take the win. What happened to Rex Radloff? Times seem faster than everyone has been running (especially the women). What's the course like?
Radloff looked terrible

This guy was almost a footlocker finalist a few years ago, missed it by 1 spot and a couple seconds I believe. His teammate from Griswald Tradelle Ward did make it though, at least once.

Course is flat, one small hill in the 5k course that's run twice for the 8k course. Surface is mostly grass/dirt, no pavement other than a couple road crossings, very good footing. Course is wheel measured, accurate. Conditions were pretty good today, not too cold (25° Friday morning brrr) although breezy at times. Times were similar to 4 years ago when St Mike's last hosted this race on a very similar course.
Lowell's men looked great today and Southern CT's top guys looked good. On the women's side Melissa Nash of Bentley ran a very strong race-powered away early and was not challenged. Also of note, Saint Rose has made tremendous improvement the past couple of years. Both the men and women were up 3 places from a year ago to finish 5th and 3rd, respectively.
Radloff like the retard he is ran the baystate marathon last week. The coach said he could only pace up to 20 miles. He disregarded orders and proceeded to run the full marathon. Todays outragiusly poor showing is a direct result.

Not sure about the women...but 2 weeks ago at New Englands. Granted Franklin is 55 meters short of 8k.
1 1 253 Ruben Sanca University of MA - Lowell 24:33.0 24:33/M (24:36 at new englands)
2 2 356 Kevin Gill Stonehill College 25:04.4 25:04/M (24:54 at new englands)
4 4 252 Rex Radloff University of MA - Lowell 25:21.4 25:21/M (24:43 at new englands)
5 5 247 Angus MacDonald University of MA - Lowell 25:23.6 25:23/M (25:19 at new englands)
i hear he has a bit of a history of not following his coach
two deserving senior winners at ne-10.sanca and nash both looked strong with better races ahead
Was this a different course used than in 1993 when St Michael's College hosted the NE-10? If I can recall, I do not think the winner broke 26:00; All-NE-10 (top 14) ended about 27:15-27:30.

PS - that course started up a hill, and I do not recall a single flat stretch, other than the finish.
