Terrible news.
One of the sport's most dedicated supporters has passed on after battling cancer.

she was very kind to me though i did not know her well. i enjoyed our exchanges of mail immensely. my library and life is richer because of this wonderful person.
I recall the last internet conversations I had with her was when she was nearly arrested for doing nothing more than going to a high school and using their track to run. On the net she was unfailingly polite to people she had never met and was educational to younger runners who barely knew who she was.
I used to talk to her on the Mysterious SpeedKls message board. Very nice lady indeed.
