Ok, so I sprained my ankle pretty bad about two weeks ago. It got to the size of a baseball. After taking a week and a half off, I decided to start training again, even though there was still mild swelling.(No pain when putting pressure, or movements of ankle) A week has passed and there is still swelling, but I am able to run on it without pain. It is slightly uncomfortable at first, but after 400m it warms up and I can run up to 6 miles. Recently I have notice when I walk around the house, I sometimes get a pinch in the area. Nothing hurtful, but annoying. I ice, and heat my ankle everyday, and will continue to do so, but should I be running on it? Will this go away and heal if I keep running? I usually am able to run 70 mile weeks, but am keeping it light, is that enough? Is the pinching a sign of a stress reaction?
