benji durden isn't a sub 210 guy.
if benji ran on a course that he measured, he wouldn't have cracked 2:12.
Hall's 2:06 at london belongs on that list.
You are correct. The list does not include the current year.
Interesting where the sub 2:10 came from.
Boston ---9
Chicago---7
New York---5 (although one came on the trials course)
London---3 (plus Hall this year will make it 4)
Fukoka---1
Grandma's---1
Seoul KOR---1
1983 Boston Marathon, Benji led until late in the race then finished 3rd in 2:09:57.

Here are the only 16 guys that have ever done it. I hope sell gets on this list some day.

absolutely no way that is the same Boston course as it is today.
How can you say that?
A cool day with a strong tailwind does wonders at Boston.
It\'s also worth noting that Mbarak Hussein\'s PR, 2:08:10, was also run in Seoul in 2004, but in a different race, earlier in the year, just before he became an American citizen.
It's the same course that Salazar, Beardsley, Meyer, Tabb, and Rodgers ran sub 2:10 on. Are their times not legit?

That is flat out not true. I ran the race every year in the 80's and we would finish 2 blocks up and then the chute would take us underneath the PRUDENTIAL Building.
So you're telling me that Salazar and Beardsley didn't run the same course in '82 as Benji in '83? And you're telling me that Meyer and Tabb didn't run the same course as Benji even though they ran on the same day?
Umm yes he is, he ran 2:09:58 for third @ Boston back in 83.
No, they all ran the same course as each other. It is just not the same course today. I ran the course in 2005 and was pissed to find out where the finish line was. I have pictures of the finish in 1983 and 1984 and 2005. Both83 and 84 were a couple of blocks less than 2005.
In none of my posts did I say it was the same course as today. I was pointing out to someone that Benji did indeed break 2:10, whether or not he liked him.
Big deal, as if moving the start line two blocks and then moving the finish two blocks makes such a huge difference.
That post was obviously giving Benji a hard time because of his measuring of courses. It had nothing to do with Benji the athlete. Everyone knows that Benji the athlete ran under 2:10 on the Boston course from the 1980's. WELCOME TO THE JOKE.
