I am a junior in high school and this past summer I ran a 1:58.76 pr in the 800. I am attending a school were they make me run more base work for cross country and I can tell I am feeling much stronger. I have never run a open 400 but my coach through me first leg on the 1600 meter relay once and I split 51.7. I didn't know how to use the blocks so I popped straight in the air when I heard the gun go off. I think I could do better if I ran the 400 more but I would love to run a fast 1600 also.
Is it possible to run a 1:53 if I only have 51 or 52 400 meter speed?
