If I am running between 40-60 miles a week, how long could i run in basketball shorts? our coach has a rule that we can't wear regular running shorts and need to wear basketball short length. besides the fact that it will slow me down a little, what about that chafing problem? I am a guy and have dealt with this. do girls deal with this too?

I run 80 miles per week, every single step in basketball shorts. Chafing occurs occasionally on the inner thighs mostly, sometimes the ballsack. But it's never that bad. Don't worry about it. As long as you shower regularly it's generally not an issue.

These work GREAT. No chafing at all. Nike also sells similar product. I dont run without them. They are also good for keeping your "stuff" straight.
