For reasons I needn't get into, it looks like I'll be needing a treadmill for training this coming winter. I would be using it from 30-60 mins. at a time. So I want something sturdy, but don't need lots of bells and whistles. I weigh 160, and pace would be 6:30 to 7:30, or a bit faster for tempos.
Any suggestions on models, prices, etc. would be appreciated.
Bowflex 7 Series. Very happy with it. Also top rated by Consumer's Reports (for folding models).

We bought a Pacemaster Pro Elite about 4-5 years ago and it's been a great treadmill. Nice, big belt. Tilts up to 15% grade and goes up to 12 mph (not that I can actually run that fast...). I don't trust the calibration, so I can't speak to its accuracy. I suspect that's an issue with most consumer-grade treadmills.
It's loud at higher speeds, but, again, I don't know that there's such a thing as a quiet treadmill in the $2000 price range. We keep it in the spare bedroom over our garage, so it's not an issue.
We had a problem with the drive belt motor about a year ago, but getting it fixed was straightforward and I think it cost around $150. Otherwise, no issues, aside from the fact that the HRM strap doesn't work anymore (but I use my Garmin's anyway).
One tip: Don't buy from OmniFitness in Scarsdale. Nightmare company to deal with.
Having a treadmill is a real lifesaver when the roads are iced over for weeks at a time. Just make sure you have a place to put that's a) very roomy (they look smaller in the store) and b) not above a room inhabited by other people.

I have had a Precore C9__ now for over 10 years. No problems even with 2 moves. I have the same model at the store which I use for gait analysis. Again no problems. I bought my at home new for 3500. The stores is a refurbed I got for 2000. They get abused and are well worth what I paid for them.
Pay attention to the availability of parts and service agreements in your decision. Bought a NordicTrac at Sears with warranty. Sears serviced for a few years, now they can't. Broken part last winter caused me to lose about 3 weeks waiting for part and service. I live in a rural area.
