Did you guys see that pic of Dan Browne winning the Twin Cities? Those thighs were "Swartzenegar-like" bulging out all over the place.
thats why there fast. base running and intervals will give you strength and endurance, but you have to improve your maximum ablility to run fast. if you see guys like boaz or webb or even ritz you will be surprised at how big there muscles are or at least there leg muscles, I have seen them in person being a runner from the great state of Mich. don't think you have to be a super skinny whimp to run distance. look at guys like shay or tod williams even Mc Mullen or sullivan.
Yeah, look at pictures of Bekele. His quads are huge.

I saw Turbo Tumo running at Bolder Boulder a few years ago.
