Forgetting Shannon Rowbury? In my opinion, I think she might have a better chance at a medal than Hall/Lagat/Teg. She had to run very fast in her heat to move on though.

It is probably because she is new on the scene. Before the Olympics, I considered her and Hall our best chances at medaling 800 and up after Lagat.

Because talk is cheap and when she does something that matters (i.e. Hall, Goucher, Flanagan, etc) then we'll talk. Fast early season times does no an Olympic medalist make.

Lagat competed for Kenya. efff him. He shouldn't be wearing a USA singlet, he should be wearing a Kenyan one. Kenya was his home country, they've shown themselves to be plenty capable of housing and training athletes, the fact that he runs for USA is crap. why have seperate nations competing at the olympics if athletes are able to switch countries willy nilly? I understand why Lopez Lomong is representing us. He came here as a small boy from a country that was not treating him so kindly. Lagat is an entirely different situation. eeeeeeeeeeffffffffffff him!
Her PB is close to breaking 4 flat in the 1500 and she is a clean, very tough runner. While at Duke she won a national indoor 3000 title and was one of the premiere collegiate runners for a couple of years. Given that many top world 1500 women runners have been caught doping, why wouldn't anyone root for this All-American in more ways than one.
