Is 9.69/19.30 believable?

I would love to believe that Bolt is Legit. If the Carribian nations did out of competition (as in out of season) testing I could possibly belive it. As it stands I think the overwhelming dominance is unrealistic. Times coming down by half a second in a year?? Maybe in HS but not on the world class level.

And this does not mean I think ONLY Caribean athletes are drug cheats. The US has pelnety as well.

as long as it keep the U.S from winning Golds and beating China in the overall medal count, I have no problem with it.

Watching Bolt run, I think it is believable. He just looks so ntural, perfect body for this stuff.

It really is hard to believe anyone in track is clean these days. Admitted drug cheats or obvious drug cheats are tested hundreds of times without a positive. The cheaters are always several steps ahead of the tests.

wish there was a prediction contest for the games. i had Bolt at 9.69 and 19.29 for his races.

If you can't believe Usain Bolt isn't clean, then why would you believe anyone is clean? I believe enough has been described about him that he's a pretty legit guy.

lets not forget bolt ran 20.61 as a 15 YR OLD!

agreed. i do not see his times as being unbelievable with how fast he ran when was 16-17 yrs old. i think he is a damn genetic freak but thats another story.

MJ's success to me is more indicative of doping. Such a sudden breakthrough is not natural. Although, lots of progress was made in a few years in supplements (ie: creatine) so its understandable that a refocused athlete taking the best supplements and putting everything together could do something "unbelievable".

I just can't believe how many people assume Bolt is dirty when no one seems to question Phelps?!! I think that both have had similar progressions.

By assuming hes on drugs, you are saying that no human being can be that good, correct?

You are implying that MJs record, clean or not, cannot be broken EVER by a clean human being, correct? Same for the 100m record (pre Bolt).

Because I don't see how anyone can possibly be cleaner than him. I'm highly suspicious by nature, but there is nothing to even suggest hes dirty. This isn't a guy with a dirty or shady past.

He is young and tall, and he sprints in a very unique fashion. These things need to be factored in before you start ranting about drugs.

And so good luck "busting" Bolt. I just dont think its going to happen.

If Bolt was a young American it would all be legit.

But it seems if he can reach and hold top speed then it's plenty believable. He's going to have to have the same acceleration on the 100 and the 200, and then have to hold that top speed longer...and since he seems to be superman, that shouldn't be a problem ;)

Yup it's beleivable. THere is no drug on the planet that gives you that kind of speed, he ran 20.1 at 15 so yeah I would say he is legit until proven otherwise.

it's great for these dirty athletes that the majority of fans/normal people are willing to live in blissful ignorance of the obvious truth.

You people exist for two reasons.

1. To criticize anyone who does not run well.

2. To accuse anyone who does of taking drugs.

That's it. That is the sum of your contribution to the sport of track and field.

You would be doing us a favor if you would please stop paying attention to the sport. Don't watch track and field. Don't read results. Don't comment on it. Allow all of us "gullible fools" to actually enjoy seeing great performances, ok?
