Holy Shit.
Holy Shit.
That is un-FRICKIN-believable
Bolt has proved that WRs have no limits
He can certainly gain 0.02-0.03 on the start if you look at the results.
A tailwind of +2.0m/s vs. a headwind of -0.9 in lane 4 is a difference of ~0.06
So He is capable of close to 19.20. Amazing.
Who's seen the video?
Did he shut down early? Celebrate before the line? Call and order a pizza at the 150m mark?
I'm wondering how effortless this was, or he went balls out.
The guy is the Ferrary of track and field
he ran all out through the line and even dipped at the finish
that was balls out,no letting up this time
ran through the line. very tough. ran last 100m alone
seemed pretty much balls out, ran straight through the finish.
it was incredible. and to think he's only getting started at 22.
bye bye MJ

YA THINK?
michael johnson lived 19.30 of drama watching his WR being shattered by U.B. Johnson can lose WR in the 400m as well. lets see tomorrow.
Jamaicans clearly dominate sprints in Beijing.
I was watching MJ's 19.32 last night and comparing to Bolt's 19.6's. MJ took 22 strides in the turn and 18 on the straight. Bolt also needed 22 on the turn but just 16-17 in the straight. I haven't seen this yet but I imagine it was a mere 16 in the straight. There's your difference.
AND we are talking amere 2/100s here- I hope people don't too soon forget how great MJ is/was.
So his 19.30 would be an average of 9.65 per 100. Is that correct? He likely broke the 100 world record in the 1st 100 and then beat it again in the 2nd 100.
WOW!!!
well, he definitely broke it in the second 100. a lot of those guys could have.. they had a running start.

He had a flying start for the second 100. People seem to forget that.

No he didn't. He's the best sprinter on the planet but he's not running 9.65 on the curve. When MJ ran 19.32 he his the 100m in 10.12. Bolt probably came through in something similar.
