Giving up on the Olympics

Is there someplace on the NBC site where the races are archived?

Can't find them there.I did find a good game between Sweden and Germany in women's soccer. But that ain't track.

Taking the time to search that out and wriet them was a total waste for you.

These is no way that they will care. I will bet that nobody at NBC even reads the email. No way you will get a reply from them.

Track on TV in the usa is a lost cause

I just posted the same thing. I can't believe I wasted a friday night watching TV to watch such CRAP. Never again. Not only have I turned off all my TV's I've unplugged them. This is personal. I really wanted to see the men's 100m tonight even though Tyson is out it sould be spetacular. But whats the point. NBC will find a way to muck the broadcast up.

That's okay, it only took about 3 minutes. Besides, if they only read the title of my email, they'll know it's about track. I hope they get lots of those... If nothing else, maybe they'll plan differently for the next Olympics.

The only way to get NBC to take notice is if you stop watching

All they care about is ratings - stop watching - let the ratings drop and they will take notice.

Tell them it is horsepoop that NBC is showing CARTOONS right now instead of the steeplechase! I watched 6 jillion heats of the swimming.

McDs and Bud paid NBC billions of dollars to put this thing on.

Tell them cartoons can take 2 weeks off every 208 weeks. Why aren't they covering the Olympics 24/7. Somebody would watch at 7AM Saturday morning. Even kids who are watching cartoons would rather watch live steeple.

That will do nothing

The sponsors will look at the overall ratings and base success and future ad money based on that. So if you keep watching NBC the ratings will be good and the sponsors will keep paying and the coverage will NOT change.

TURN OFF YOUR TV

Hey, at 2:30am I was able to watch 30min of coverage on men's racewalking on USA Network. Unbelievable! To top it off, Carol Lewis was broadcasting.

Why not broadcast the events from 2am-6am on USA/CNBC/MSNBC/Oxygen??? I don't care if it is 18 hours delayed, just show the events in their entirety! The 10k left 3 laps in with a huge back and returned with 4 laps to go and people getting lapped after I waited up all night.

I can't blieve I'm sitting here watching rounds of doubles tennis while A NEW WORLDRECORD IS BEING SET IN THE 100M FILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This track coverage (in the U.S.) is much worse than I thought even NBC could pull off. But, hey, who am I to say that men's beach volleyball isn't what everyone thinks of when they think of the Olympics.

Anyway, will someone overseas please tape the track events and send them to me for Christmas...

The coverage is aweful at best. It is truly an insult to track. I understand the reason they broadcast the likes of gymnastics and swimming etc. This brings in the ratings. But if they are going to have the 10,000 at 1 am EST then show us the race for god sakes. The people watching at this time are the track fans wanting to see the race. I don't care if it is on 4 am. Just let us see the damn race.

And to only show 2 of the 3 1500 heats is just plain stupid. They show EVERY SINGLE heat of swimming for every swim event. It is ridiculous. I doubt the steeple will even be shown. It is terrible coverage.

CBC is doing a decent job.

Great live coverage from the CBC. With all the complaining NBC did about China's broadcasting Censorship , it is interesting to see how NBC re-edits and presents the events .

It is the worst coverage ever. The best part is they were bragging about how many hours of coverage they were going to have during this Olympics. What they didnt tell you is they were going to fill it with garbage. I saw hours of complete crap yesterday. Soccer games with CHina playing some other random team. Or hours of badmitton and table tennis. But they won't take the time to even show the entire 3 heats of the 1500. But the most insulting coverage of all has to be the 10,000. It was on in the middle of the night and they showed about 7 laps of the race. It was impossible to even tell what was going on. A true insult.
