I was just shocked that Alberto made it sound like he didn't think Galen had advantages over other runners.

Alberto shouldn't apologize or try and pretend Galen doesn't have advantages over other runners. He should just say "Galen wants to be the best in the world. To do that we have to do everything possible short of doping."

I agree with WEJO on this one. I do feel that Galan is doing EVERYTHING he can do besides dope as well. Why not, if i had the resources I sure the hell wouldn't be eating ramen for lunch and running on beat up shoes that I have had for 2 years now.

But did you notice he didn't say that? My beef is that Alberto has made it known that he will do ANYTHING that makes his athletes have an advantage. I have not heard him once say "we will win at all cost but never take PED."

Going off topic, I have always wondered about all of these top Olympic athletes that have thyroid problems and asthma and sleeping disorders and... One train of thought might be that genetics has clearly given them a disadvantage in running, so why should we allow medication to boost them to what we consider "natural?" Isn't natural the fact that you genetically do not have the abilty to use oxygen like others?

Hey, I was born with a low MaxVO2 and not enough fast twitch muscles to be really competitive. Maybe I should be allowed to take PEDs in order to help "level the playing field" against other athletes.

Hypo-gonadism induced by endurance training is also the reason why distance runners are also slender - this is simply the body's way of shedding excess weight or preserving fuel and surviving - first reduce the size of the engine (muscle mass) ... all male endurance athletes have lower testosterone than the average male. This is part of the reason why weight lifters and others who want to pack on muscle use the motto "walk, don't run, sit don't stand" all in an effort to add as much muscle as possible and prevent catabolism (the opposite of anabolism (i.e. anabolic)

Salazar is trying to make the argument above ... "why not supplement the testosterone of endurance athletes"?

This has nothing to do with Rupp specifically, but a discussion a few of us have been having on our runs. And for the record I understand both sides of the argument and personally don't think there should be any rule changes regarding asthma. But playing devils advocate here, if you have asthma, that isn't that your disadvantage? Genetics have determined that you do not have the natural lung capacity as "normal" runners.

What about the runner that NATUALLY has a low hemoglobin count, do we allow them to blood dope to be "normal?" Taking someone from a state that for them is natural and artificially aiding them to be better is doping, yes?

Ok to stack Albuterol/ T-3???

I have read alot of about stacking clen and T-3, but haven't seen anything on stacking Albuterol and T-3. Decided I would rather avoid the severe sides from clen and give Albuterol a try. Can I stack Albuterol with t-3 though?

Yes, they will be synergistic in the same way that clenbuterol and T3 are.

It has been demonstrated in numerous studies that the use of albuterol can help to increase muscular strength in users. These are often accompanied by increases in muscle mass. Specifically, in one such study it was noted that users of albuterol showed much greater improvements in strength when compared to a control group, after both groups had previously been training for ten weeks with no significant differences in their progress. The group given albuterol also showed larger increases in lean body mass (2). The doses for these individuals began at 4 milligrams per day, given orally, and were increased and then maintained at 16 milligrams per day for the duration of the study. Similar findings were made in another study where the subjects only trained their quadriceps muscles. Again, both gains in strength and muscle size were noted in the group that was administered albuterol during their training (3).

However the performance enhancing ability of albuterol is seemingly not limited to strength training. It was shown that the times of users performing endurance exercises significantly improved with the use of albuterol (4). Interestingly these improvements were accomplished without the drug negatively impacting the VO2, respiratory exchange ratio, heart rate or plasma free fatty acid and glycerol concentration of users during the exercise conducted. Rather the plasma lactate and potassium concentrations were altered. This would all bode well for endurance athletes who are looking to improve their athletic output and not negatively impact other areas of their performance capabilities.

PURPOSE: The ergogenic effect of acute beta2-adrenergic agonist administration in nonasthmatic individuals has not been clearly demonstrated. Therefore, the acute effects of oral administration of the beta2-adrenergic agonist salbutamol (4 mg) on muscle strength and endurance performance were studied in 16 nonasthmatic men in a double-blind randomized cross-over study. METHODS: Peak expiratory flow (Mini Wright Peakflowmeter), isokinetic strength of the knee extensors and knee flexors at four angular velocities (Cybex II dynamometer), and endurance performance in a cycle ergometer test until exhaustion at 70% of maximal workload were measured. RESULTs: Peak expiratory flow increased from 601 +/- 67 L x min(-1) to 629 +/- 64 L x min(-1) after salbutamol (P < 0.05). Peak torque was higher after salbutamol than after placebo (4.4% for the knee extensors, 4.9% for the knee flexors) (P < 0.05). Mean endurance time increased from 3,039 +/- 1,031 s after placebo to 3,439 +/- 1,287 s after salbutamol (P = 0.19). When four subjects complaining about adverse side effects were excluded from the analysis, the increase in endurance time (729 +/- 1,007 s or 29%) was statistically significant (P <-0.05). Salbutamol did not affect VO2, respiratory exchange ratio, heart rate, and plasma free fatty acid and glycerol concentration during exercise; plasma lactate and potassium concentrations were increased (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Under the conditions of this study, oral salbutamol appears to be an effective ergogenic aid in nonasthmatic individuals not experiencing adverse side effects.

well just fantastic. i've been takin albuterol, and been trying to reduce my weight, and instead i'm upping it. now my grille's feelin like it's gotza heavy cheeze in it.

like i said before rupp should go pro. if the ncaa infraction committee could see what is provided to him by nike and salazar, U of O would be sanctioned and be put on probation by ncaa. In the SEC a college was put on probation and a football kid was suspended for receiving shoes, jewelry/clothes and paid travel from an agent.

right now he is in houston since Levine is nearby. there are medical facilities, human performance lab, and best of all an environmental chamber where you can manipulate heat/humidity and pressure-altitude.

please don't tell me that his parents are paying for all this .... obviously it is Nike/Salazar and not U of O. i don't hate rupp but what he has done is illegal in the eyes of ncaa.....he needs to play by the rules like every other collegiate runner.

if he was pro then i don't have a beef with all this extra support he has...but to claim he is still a collegiate athlete? hahahahah
