Symmonds 1000m
Wheating and Acosta 1500m
If Acosta falls down and Wheating beats his ass will they still give AJ the win?
this is correct, anyone know results? maybe still racing

What time does this race start?
did this race even occur? if it actually did I would assume they ran it already and someone somewhere would have results.
since its 9 on the west coast and nobody has posted shit i'm gonna assume it wasn't ran today.
According to this it should have been ran tonight.
Although the details have not yet been finalized, Symmonds and Wheating are both scheduled to make one final appearance at Hayward Field this week: Symmonds is expected to run a 1,000 and Wheating is entered in the 1,500 at Wednesday’s all-comers meet.

It just got done, Nick's race is up and Wheating's is on the way.
Symmonds ran 1:17, he was rabbited through the first 800 and there were no other competitors; went through 400 in about 53 and 800 in about 1:49. Wheating ran 3:39 to beat Steve Sherer (3:42) and Acosta (3:44). They were around :57 - 1:55 - 2:57ish.
Symmonds **2:17** (53.7, 1:49.3)
Wheating 3:39 (56, 1:55, 2:55)

Puts Symmonds 4 seconds behind Kaki and 2 seconds behind Borz at the same distance.
wheating looked solid. he didnt even look that tired. a solid race for him.

The other guys are running 1:42s, and these guys are running 1500s slower than 5000 guys. And you expect to medal in Beijing...in the 800?
Just what are you guys smoking in Eugene? Teg would have kicked his butt tonight, and Teg is running the 5000.
nothing like racing your teammates (instead of your potential competitors in beijing) to get you into racing shape...........................
Wheating looked like he was just running behind his pacers for the first 1200 meters, kind of chomping at the bit to go, then he blasted the final 300 meters. For him to show this kind of finishing kick at the end of a 1500 bodes well for him in the 800 at Beijing.
Symmonds had only one training partner in his "race", so it was just run whatever the pacer was doing and then blast the final 200 meters, which he did.
It seemed that neither of them was even breathing hard. I liked Gags comments about Symmonds...."he is hungry, has his head on his shoulders and will be ready for Beijing".
Both Gags and Lananna indicated their guys will have one more tune up (probably next Monday) before leaving for the Olympics.
They were not "racing" their teammates. Symmonds and Wheating ran separate races, Symmonds ran 1000 meters and Wheating ran 1500 meters. The others were there for pacing (possibly with the exception of AJ Acosta).
Sometimes, you track neophytes can get a little irritating. Learn something about the sport if you want to post here.
Wheating was racing his teammate. Acosta is his teammate. Wheating is on two teams- OLY team and Oregon. So, therefore, you are wrong.
why is acosta running this late in the summer? Doesn't he want to do well in xc
by the way, it's "Champing" at the bit. Get it right. Look it up.
