Lagat ran a horrible race tactically. He got boxed bad with 150 to go.

Basically dropped back and then swung real wide. A suprise he pulled out a 3rd place

Yeah I was wondering what happened there. Off a slow pace, I would bet that Mottram and Lagat both would thrive. But obviously, with 7 guys within 1.2 sec of each other, it must have been too crowded to move up.

Lagat is now an American miler so he will now get beaten.

Like when Khalid K became an american, all of a sudden he's mortal. Odd isn't it?

How did Mottram run? Up front? or trying to kick from behind?

I can't imagine running a 3:58.20 mile for a personal best and still finishing 11th and next to last.
