Which one is tougher?
Which one is tougher?
They are all completely badass, but the British SAS is my favorite. They also have the coolest insignia, "Who Dares Wins." Love that.
The fact that Demi Moore was a Navy SEAL hurts their credibility. Here's my ranking:
1) SAS
2) Marine Force Recon
3) Green Berets
4) SEALS
I say this as a person who has no military background at all and would tremble in the presence of any of them. Except Demi.
Dean,
Demi would kick your ass even without Seal training. She just has to pump out her chest and smack you with her fake D cups.
SEALS are the toughest in the water and on the beaches, Green Berets in the jungle. I knew a British Marine once in college and he was totally bad ass, could kill a man ten different ways with his bare hands, and he said the SAS dudes were 100 times badder than he was. Them is some tough muthas.
I care if they die.
I have seen 40+ year old women in age-group TRIs light up "tough guys" from the SEALs.
I care if they die too. Dark humor in poor taste. They are all tough.
Has someone been playing Call of Duty 4?
If all these groups are so badass, why do foreign wars drag on forever? Just askin'
Foreign wars, as opposed to civil wars?
Much of the American military is switching from the standard PT (run, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, daily dozen) to "functional-fitness." Many police and fire departments have adopted this style as well, you can check it out at www.crossfit.com.
Two words for you:
Army Ranger
You are crazy guy!!! The seals is crazy bad ass... read the book Lone Survivor... it's about a Seal team that gets in some serious trouble and it'll change your mind in a heart beat!!!
RANGERS lead the way!
In the US:
Shooting Delta
Breeching Delta
Water Assult Seals
Boats Seals
Air Fields/ destroying large amounts of space in a limited amount of time Rangers
Rest of the world:
SAS
I was at Ft Bragg w/the 82nd Airborne Div 4 yrs(1978 - 1982)....While I'll was there, I trained with 7th Special forces, SEALS, Force Recon, Rangers, and DELTA Team. I was always MOST impressed with the "Delta team" as the Toughest!...Just my opinion
Message to "Because...": I counted 23 grammatical errors in your four posts in this topic. Sounds to me like you've got some burgers to flip. And some meds to pop (anger management pills, maybe).
PS...but Force Recon had the toughest "Hazing" ....you could get seriously hurt!

Oh, and we get it, you're Mr. Machismo Testosterone Chip-On-Your-Shoulder I-Can-Kick-Everyone's-Ass Guy. In other words, a real man's man. Now go listen to Staind or something. I'm guessing your musical taste ends about there.
delta force and navy seals--tie
While they're all extremely competent soldiers in the traditional sense, each special operations force has their own purpose and thus strong points. So you can't really compare them directly. That said, the British SAS is the most respected unit in the world. Many outfits in other countries, like Delta in the US, were modeled after the SAS with great success.
To answer the question, if I were a wanted man the last group of dudes I'd want coming after me would be the SAS.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
