What sprinter has the most fluid form (male or female). My vote: Alysson Felix. Second place: Jeremy Wariner.

Gay has incredible form too. The front shot of him in the 100 was perhaps the smoothest I have ever seen.
being smooth is important but there are other aspects to running form that are also important. proper posture, weight alignment with respect to foot strike location, proper arm action, and a completely formed stride are a few other matters with which to be concerned.
I agree that Felix and Wariner have good form as well as Gay. The X-man looks like he is pushing a piano. His awkward form is the reason he stays injured so much. Dix's form is peculiar but there is little wrong with it. (MJ's form was peculiar, but highly effective) Merrit's form has improved a lot but still has an issue or two. His improved form is allowing him to be stronger in the final 100m of his 400. Wariner needs to take him very seriously.
In my opinion best hands down right now is Torri Edwards. She may not always be the fastest on the track, but she does have the best technique. You can't go wrong trying to learn about technique watching Torri (unless you're watching the last 35 meters of the Trials final).
Coby Miller
Carl Lewis
no-one else is even close
Have to agree that Carl Lewis was probably the smoothest sprinter of all time. Evelyn Ashford is another sprinter from the past who deserves mention.
spearmon at the end of his race generally looks to have great form, I wish he'd start his acceleration sooner, he has to at the olympics to place
drugs or not Gatlin had impeccable form
Loved watching Maurice Greene's drive phase. I also agree about Spearmon. He always looked great in 200 wins while Bolt would come in 2nd all choppy.
I'd second Spearmon. Love to watch that guy accelerate at the end of 200. There's gotta be a reason why he can do that. And Carl Lewis too. Love to watch Alison Felix as well--whether she's running or not! ;o) Also Tommy Smith; but not everyone can have a set of 4-feet legs! ;o)

All good examples cited.
Nobby, I believe Arthur was quoted as saying Valeriy Borzov (USSR) had the best sprinting form "back in the day."
