Questions for Brooks/Pearl Izumi/Saucony wearers

Yeah man, what are your "questions"??

If anyone has any experience with any of these shoes, did you like them? Did you not like them? I know the Pearl Izumis are the heaviest of the three, does that translate into the feel? Does one break down faster than others? Were you happy/not with them?

Basically I was just wanting people's opinions of the shoes.

I've got the Brooks Cascadia and Brooks Burn in my current rotation. Haven't measured anything but both feel like they have a relatively low heel, which I like. Both are very flexible through the forefoot. The last version of the Burn before they discontinued it fit very tight. I'm an 8 in everything Brooks makes and those were noticeably tighter than anything else the past 3 years (3 versions of Cascadia, 2 versions of Glycerine, 1 version of the Mach 8 spikeless). They blistered me up pretty bad the first run in them but no problem after that. I don't really train in the Cascadia-I use them for hiking and usually do some running while hiking. I will say that the most recent version of the Cascadia is not wearing as well as the last 2 versions (sole).

A local sports shop sponsors me, he's big into Pearl Izumi, so all my racing kit is P.I. I have a pair of green 'trail?' racers, but my first race with them, they were slipping a lot on wet asphalt. The road version are also slippy on wet tartan, I haven't used them on wet road yet. Asides from that, they're fine. They're light enough for me, I guess. The trainers seemed to have very little arch support, so I refused to wear them, and I just take the asics for training at least. The support in the trainers is fine. The rest of the gear seems a bit weird, pockets on the back, etc, like cycling gear! Socks too thin and they slip in the shoe (on insole). So from my experience, they still have quite a bit of catching up to do..
