Alright, I've heard tons of different opinions about this, but what do you guys think is the most effective way to run or win a race, strategys that have worked for you or others....
1) Front running, setting the pace, going hard from the gun.
2) Trying to negative split, going out slower and gradually increasing the pace until you're flying at the end.
3) Running even splits.
4) Letting others dictate the pace.
5) Getting out fast, settling in, kicking hard.
Personally I prefer #2, charging hard at the end, although many people believe it doesn't lead to the fastest times/highest placing.
Any other strategies for races mile and up?
