Who do you guys think would win in a 2 mile race considering that Ritz seems to have a little more speed now than what he had in high school. Webb is still the man in the 1500 i suppose considering his 3:53 mile. Who do you guys think would win, speed versus endurance?
We made it a whole day without some kind of Ritz vs. Webb thread. It was nice.

I would have to say Rits right now because he did run a 3:43 in the 1500 and he is stronger than webb.

Answer Man: Your first sentence is grammatically incorrect. Therefore, the remainder of you babble is rendered impotent.
Grammar- Also, because you seperated "You" and "the others" with a comma, it should be noted that "the others" and the verb phrase that was the subject of your final sentence should have also been seperated by a comma.

but then again, ritz has to have some speed based on his sub 13:30, and he is probably more confident right now than webb...so perhaps ritz would end up the victor.
If it was Webb, Ritz, and Answer Man, I think we all know who would win. We would, because he would have no answer for any move they tried, and we could laugh at his answerless ways.
More importantly, didn't Ritz exhibit his speed this year in a 1500? I remember it was fast, not as fast as Webb's, but fast. That, coupled with his 5k times are a strong indicator. Not to mention that his training partner dropped a 1:50....what could Ritz run an 800 in? Probably in the 1:51-1:52 range.
Everyone says, "Webb would just sit." What if at the gun Ritz just hung on Webb instead? Then what would happen?
That would be awsome with 800 or 400 or 200 to go.
Right now, Ritz would win.
