So after seeing pictures from the Prefontaine and older ones of him I noticed he still wears one of Nike's older models. Just curious if anyone knows whether they are the Milers or the Eldorets because their uppers are basically the same.

Yeah Ive been wondering that too. Not sure though and I agree that its hard to tell.
They're Milers. Kind of crazy for a 10k. But considering his form and the fact that he is running 4:15's (?) I guess it makes sense to have an aggresive spike.
Those spikes are way too aggressive. Why do that to yourself?
1) its bekele....don't argue, he's a bit faster than you
2) who cares how "aggresive" they are, if they're comfortable, can take the 25 laps of pounding, and are mad light....I see absolutely no reason not to run in them becasue they're better than anything else out there for the track
They are a cross between an Eldoret upper (no mesh forefoot) and the miler plate. The miler plate is even a little different as it is close to the original promo plate El G used to wear. The plate is not completely the miler and has more sharkskin than the normal plate. Here's a pic:

With his ridiculously efficient form as someone mentioned, it probably wouldn't matter what spike he wore because he would be on his toes anyway.
Yeah but based on that picture they could still also be the old Eldorets which look basically the same yet arent quite as aggressive.
