hey idiot: his trainers put him in a wheelchair. it was not some crazy psychological scheme that he'd concocted. yes, the trainers babied him. that's their job, they do it in every sport. and his job is to do what they say. once they confirmed he didn't need the wheelchair he was out of it, taped-up, and back in the game kicking ass.

Paul Pierce even said himself that he was embarrassed by it and, in retrospect, didn't need the wheelchair.

The Willis Reed thing is so stupid anyway, he scored 4 points. Clyde Frazier is the guy who should be given credit for winning that game.

I saw him say that too, but maybe the reason they went to that extreme was the embarassing way he was carrying on.
