It's easy to get smoked when you're soooooooo HOT!
She can get away with it in the 400, and even the 200, but my grandmother has a better start than Felix.
She needs to forget about the 100

No way dude. She WILL make both relays and win the 200 in Beijing. Not a bad medal haul. Heck, she could probably take Richards in the 4 if she wanted to.
That's sort of my point. She's MORE likely to beat Richards in the 400 than to do well in the 100. But I underatand...there's that schedule.
I think your argument is a little myopic. Felix got worked today, everybody saw that, but even after today's race she is the U.S. leader in the 100m, and only 2/100ths off of the world leading time. She has run fast enough very recently to have taken today's race, but she didn't put it together.
If anything, Felix is too inconsistent to make it through the gauntlet of heats at the OT and the Olympics well. But to write her off as not fast enough or a slow starter...sorry, just not true.

I second the \seconder. Felix would smoke Richards in th\e 400m.
im hoping she gets herself together she has so much talent...Felix FTW
All I can say is it will be a huge relief when she smokes the world in the 200 and rolls up the track at the Olympics just like World's last year. It's disheartening to watch her get smoked, but she is obviously focusing on aspects of her racing that she needs to improve. And yes, though I don't know how, she still has the sub-11.
Her reaction time was a little off. I looked yesterday at the results which showed reaction times. The winner had a reaction time of .11 (nearly a false start) and Felis was .16 I believe (I can't find the same results page now that had them listed). If Felix gets out a little better reaction time wise and then runs the first part of the race instead of panicing and doing nothing then she has a good shot to win that race. Also please note that there was only 1 american in front of her and 2 jamaicans
Her reaction time was slower and her whole start was slower. However, after 30m she was even with or better than everyone in the race. Thus, she will be smoking on the 4 x 100 relay, leg 2 (just watch the WCs relay).
